My personal notes: (be aware that this are my experiences in Victoria Garden. In other places in and around Redding, this plant can behave differently)

Baccharis pilularis (Coyote Brush) is a tough green plant. It needs good drainage, but can handle moderate summer watering but also thrives on only once a month watering. The lower varieties like 'Twin Peaks' can be used as ground cover and the higher varieties as hedges.
Look at the form of the leaves, aren't they peculiar?
I don't know which species of  Baccharis pilularis I have got. If it  grows tall, I hope I can clip it a bit to give it a nice shape.
