Nurseries, garden centers and other means to get plants in the Redding area.

- Native Plant Society, Shasta Chapter, Redding, CA. The Shasta Chapter members propagate Californian native plants from   cuttings taken out   of own gardens. The plants come in one gallon pots.
  The plants can be bought on a special sale twice at farm of Shasta College and during the this years native garden tour (May 15th   2010). During   these events members will be present with plant information. Many of these Californian natives are discribed on this  site.

- McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens nursery. The McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens nursery is open to the   public 9 a.m. to  1 p.m., seven days a week, year-round and located just outside Carl & Leah’s Gate (the Garden West Entrance),   the McConnell Arboretum &    Botanical Gardens Nursery offers mediterranean-climate zone species, California natives,   ornamental grasses, and locally adapted perennials for    purchase by the public.  All of our plants are propagated on site!

- Bailey Lane Nursery. The Bailey Lane Nursery is a small family owned local nursery, specialized in California natives, drought   tolerant, herbs, medicinal and unusual plants. The Bailey Lane Nursery can be found at the Saturday Farmers Market at City Hall in   Redding during the spring   (Starting April ) and fall (Once the summer heats cools down) . They also sell at local events   in Whitmore, including the Whitmore   Summer Fair on May 22nd 2010 and at Tuscan Heights Lavender Festival on June 26th   2010.

- Gina Lofreste Nursery. Local nursery in Inwood specialized in medicinal plants, seeds and vegetables. Address: 7978 Elmers   Way, Inwood, CA, 96088. Please call before coming: 530 474-3354. Can be found on Farmers Market in Redding (near the City   Hall)l, every Saturday and on the Farmers Market in Shingletown, every Tuesday from 4.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. gina@dancefarm.org.

- Dee's Gardens. Local "Old Fashion" nursery specializing in perennials, bulbs and wildflower seeds. Located at 20694 Hwy 299 E   - Redding, CA  96003. Regular opening Hours: Tue-Sat 9-6, Sun 12-6. Closed Monday. Special Hours:  If gate is open, come on    in! They have a marvelous show garden, realy worth while visiting. Watch their website, to get great ideas. www.deesgardens.com.
