Mahonia aquifolium , Oregon Grape
Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape) is a California native. It grows as an understory plant in woodland areas in Northern California. Although growing in its native habitat in the shade of trees, it can handle sun and doesn't mind getting little water. It is another though plant, that doesn't need a lot of maintenance.
