Ceanothus lemmonii , Trinity Ceanothus
Ceanothus lemmonii (Trinity Ceanothus) is a local native to be found in Whiskey Town Park (higher up at the South side) and near Shingletown along highways 36 and 44. I have seen them in areas with poor, well drained soil, but where it is colder in winter and where the plants do get a bit more rain. This makes this shrub winter hardy, but not complete drought tolerant in the hottest parts of the valley. What are your experiences?
