Veins transport materials to and from the leaf tissues. They have different patterns. You only have to learn 3 types of vein patterns.
Parallel veins run more or less parallel to each other.
2. Palmate veins.
Palmate main veins all start at the base of the leaf where the
petiole is attached.
3. Pinnate veins.
Pinnate venation is vein arrangement in a leaf with one main
vein extending from the base to the tip of the leaf and smaller
veins branching off the main vein (like the arrangement of the
parts of a feather).
